WASHINGTON, D.C. – Iowa’s ultraconservative representative Steve King erupted in anger Thursday after reports were released saying President Trump is striking a deal with Democrats and others to deal with the “Dreamers” – children brought into the U.S. by illegal aliens.

Steve King wants the “Dreamers” gone, and when President Trump recently rescinded former President Barack Obama’s DACA order – Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals – that affects hundreds of thousands of people in the U.S., it seemed he was on course to please the likes of King and others on the far right.

However, reports are surfacing Thursday that President Trump, some Republicans, and Democrats are close to striking a deal to keep the “Dreamer’s” in the country. Trump said on CNN this morning there must be “extreme surveillance” and the border wall are deal-breakers to work out the “Dreamer” issue.

In the wake of these reports, Steve King took to Twitter, saying, “If AP is correct, Trump base is blown up, destroyed, irreparable, and disillusioned beyond repair. No promise is credible.”

CNN also reports that liberal California Representative Nancy Pelosi had dinner with President Trump Wednesday night, and she says a deal on the “Dreamer’s” issue has been struck.

Just days ago, after Trump stuck down Obama’s order, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) initiated the orderly wind down of the program known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
