CLERMONT, IOWA – A Northern Iowa man is dead in a farm accident.
On November 4, 2021 at approximately 1:48 P.M., the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a farm accident in a corn field North of Clermont. Fayette county deputies responded and it was found that Evan Pape, 38, of Luana IA was working on a corn wagon at 27436 Harding Rd when he was pinned between the corn wagon and his service truck. Pape was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Clermont Fire and Ambulance services and the state medical examiner.
