Once more the magic show has come to town; the esteemed Todd Blodgett has invited all to draw near and leave all your worries behind. I have read his dictum three times and am also waiting for a call back from M.I.T. School of advanced mathematics to translate what he brought forth in this morning’s Globe-Gazette. I have said this before but it is worth repeating; read carefully the label on each bottle of snake oil the dark doctor’s selling.
My theory is much more simple than Mr. Blodgett’s: Love thy neighbor.
I was fortunate to have enjoyed the Mexican Rivera on several occasions over the years… I found their welcome to be warm and sincere. What I saw were hard working people going out of their way to assure our visit was memorable.
During the many decades I have lived I was traveling much of the time. I went to China twice a year, about 18 times… Europe more frequently, Brazil to attend leather shows in San Palo, and domestically…New York every other week.
I can truthfully say all during that period of my life I was never involved in a confrontational manner. No trouble because I didn’t look for trouble. Trouble travels with you, it’s all around you just waiting to jump. In cities like Hong Kong I often left my hotel to visit the many restaurants throughout the city. If the distant wasn’t too far I would walk to and fro by myself returning after dark.
On my return walk I would past bars where “hawker’s” worked the sidewalk in front of the bar which had their front door propped wide open making it easy to see inside where totally naked women were dancing on top of the bar. “First drink is free,” they would say shoving a coupon into your hand. I never went in, not ever, not once.
I know I am going to say something few reading this will believe; I have actually seen naked women… once or twice, and to my knowledge the anatomy hasn’t changed since Eve was in the Garden of Eden and the snake enticed her to eat the apple. So there wasn’t anything new in the bar to see. In addition, I knew trouble lived in those bars, so if you wanted an after dinner drink have it at the lobby bar in the hotel were you are staying.
The moral of the story is this; the Mexican people are not mad at us, plus they have been wonderful neighbors over the years. Trump says the Mexicans sell drugs… but so do other people in every country on earth.
Screw the Wall, build a bridge….

PC, lets compromise Build a wall and instead of a door, put in a toll bridge!.
Another great option, would be a metaphorical “wall”. It would be made out of more border patrol agents and gun towers.

Mexico has a wall on their southern border, but oh, that’s different.
Pete, I truly wish is was that easy. There are more than Mexicans coming across our southern border. And, regardless, whomever comes across illeagally it is wrong no matter what.
In leu of the wall the only bridge I can see that would work is the kind of penalty for coming to America illegally that would deter you form coming here in the first place.
The first part of the bridge has to be a serious financial penalty to ANYONE OR BUSINESS THAT HIRES AN ILLEAGLE.
The second part of the bridge has to be a shot between the eyes for an illegal that harms another human being on American Soil. That would be carried out immeadiatly upon conviction! I have no pity for the bad guys.
The third part of the bridge would then grant “partial citizenship” for those that have not harmed anyone and will swear alliagence to America, American Law, and American Culture. (No Sharia Law). No voting rights ever! If illeagals want full rights and American citizenship, then they go back home and wait in line like those that do it leagally. Also, any illegal allowed to stay will forever have an additional 10% surtax on their tax bill to pay for all the welfare used by them and future illegals.
The rest of the bridge needs to be engineered. I am sure there many other parts needed to build a SAFE bridge.
The wall? It’s really only a start to solve a long term problem brought on by a liberal society.

You mean toll bridge. The bridge is fine as long as they stop at the immigration booth to see if they can cross today. It’s not science here. If you yearn to be here and its that important, well go through the proper channels and respect the laws of the country. What people like this seem to think is that if Merica were all white there would be plenty of high paying jobs and no crime, and that they would personally benefit from more attention and benefits from daddy government.
But I would be cautious about how much the government pays attention to you. Who would they conduct secret syphilis experiments on if there were no blacks? Who gets to fill the prisons with meaningless drug possession crimes without any Mexicans around? Who would the IRS start to go after without any orientals around?
As for high paying jobs, those are usually reserved for higher educated folks, not farmers or retail clerks or prep cooks.
