FOREST CITY – A Northern Iowa man was jailed after a violent domestic abuse incident.
Byron Allison, age 61, was arrested on February 6 after Winnebago county law enforcement responded to a domestic incident. He was charged with domestic abuse assault with intent to inflict serious injury as a result.
A source tells NIT that his alleged victim suffered severe injuries to her head and legs and was transported to a Rochester, Minnesota hospital.
Allison posted surety bond two days later and was released from the Winnebago county jail in Forest City. The next day, a judge set a no-contact protective order, barring Allison from contact with his alleged victim. He awaits a hearing on February 16.
