Waterloo police asking for clues in double shooting that left one dead

WATERLOO – Waterloo police are asking for help from the public in solving a double shooting Tuesday that left one man dead.

According to police, on Tuesday, June 25th, 2013 at approximately 6:05 PM, Waterloo Police were sent to the Kum and Go Convenience Store, 1976 Franklin Street on report of two people shot.

Upon arrival, Police found the victims in the parking lot. Waterloo Fire Rescue arrived and transported one victim to Allen Hospital and one victim to Covenant Medical Center.

At Allen Hospital, that victim was pronounced dead. The deceased is a 30 year old male. The other victim, a 19 year old male, is being treated for his injuries which do not appear to be life
threatening.

Police continue to process the crime scene and interview witnesses. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Waterloo Police Department at 319-291-4340, ex. 5003.
