MASON CITY – Police arrested a Mason City man for domestic abuse assault involving strangulation.
Officers with the Mason City Police Department were called to an apartment at 124 13th Street NE at just before noon on August 31 to investigate a report of a domestic assault. Officers arrived and determined that 55-year-old Mark Anthony Gladwell was the aggressor in a domestic incident and placed him under arrest, charged with felony domestic abuse assault involving strangulation.
Gladwell remains jailed on bond as he awaits a preliminary hearing on September 15, 2014. A hearing to determine a motion by Gladwell to terminate the no-contact order is scheduled for September 11.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
