Clear Lake man charged with child endangerment, again

CLEAR LAKE – A Clear Lake man is in the Cerro Gordo County Jail after charges of child endangerment were brought by the Clear Lake Police Department.

Shadrick Dennery Vogt, age 29, was booked into the jail September 25th at 4:52 PM on two counts of child endangerment with no injury (726.6(7)), an aggravated misdemeanor.  The charges stem from incidents on July 1, 2012 and  July 27th, 2012.

Vogt is being held on $4,000 cash only bond.

Vogt was also charged with child endangerment after a January 1, 2012 incident.  Judge Rustin Davenport accepted a plea deal where Vogt plead guilty to assault causing bodily injury.  He was given a $315 fine and other costs totaling $645.48, which he still owes in full.

Vogt has also been convicted of 5th degree theft, 4th degree theft, forgery, going armed with intent, and assault.  According to online records, he still owes hundreds of dollars in other fines and court costs.
