MASON CITY – Law enforcement was alerted to a possibly intoxicated individual who was on his way to the Cerro Gordo Law Enforcement Center early Saturday to help get a friend out of jail.

At about 12:34 AM Saturday morning, a person called to report that a male may be drunk, and driving to the jail at the law enforcement center to bail out his friend.  Deputies were on the scene, and when 27-year-old Joel Alan Kohler of Ankeny (formerly of Nora Springs) arrived at the jail in a white SUV, he was taken aside and an investigation was conducted, leading to his arrest on a charge of second offense operating while intoxicated.

Kohler was later released, pending a court date.  He pled guilty to first offense operating while intoxicated in 2011.

Someone needs to give this guy am IQ test…..he may border on the mentally disabled.

AN IQ test!

He should have made sure to wear a t-shirt saying…I’m drunk as hell and would like to spend an evening in the Crowbar Hotel. Have you the accommodations ready? LOL.

This guy must not be very smart! Hope he learns from this mistake.

What a idiot.
