Northern Iowa man charged after throwing bat at reckless teen driver

GRAETTINGER, IOWA – A Northern Iowa man has been charged after throwing a baseball bat at a reckless teen driver.

On June 18, 2019 at 9:28 PM, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a reckless driver near 508 South Washington Avenue in Graettinger. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office determined a 2004 Chevrolet Caviler was being operated by a juvenile subject in a reckless manner. The reporting party, 23-year-old Jeremy Griffith of Graettinger was upset at the reckless driver as it passed by the residence and threw an aluminum baseball bat at the car. The bat would strike the rear quarter panel of the car causing damage to the car.

As a result, Griffith was charged with criminal mischief in the 5th degree, a simple misdemeanor.

The juvenile driver of the vehicle was charged with reckless driving, a simple misdemeanor.

what a tough guy. hes lucky it wasnt some corn fed farm boy that came back around and knocked his ass out. a 23 year old out trying to act like an authority figure? give me a break. act your age. youre decades from “get off my lawn, damn kid’s”
