WATERLOO – Four men were arrested by Waterloo police after a vehicle chase this weekend.
According to the Waterloo Police Department, officers with the Waterloo Police Department’s Violent Crime Apprehension Team attempted to stop a vehicle at about 3:39 AM on March 9th in the area of Fairchild Street and Helmet Avenue in Waterloo for an investigation and several traffic violations.
The vehicle eventually pulled over and a felony stop was conducted. Several suspects were detained and taken into custody at that time. During a search of the vehicle officers recovered a loaded .45 caliber semi-auto handgun.
During the investigation, 20-old Kalon Deon Bruce was charged with carrying weapons and interference with official acts involving a firearm, a class D felony. Twenty-two-year-old Cameron Douglas Winters was charged with operating while intoxicated 1st offense and eluding. Twenty-year-old James Edward Horton and twenty-one-year-old Marshondus Trenedale Brown were charged with interference with official acts. All suspects reside in Waterloo and were booked into the Black Hawk County Jail.
