CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man was picked up for his second operating while intoxicated charge in less than a year.
Marques J. Bailey, age 28, was arrested by Charles City police on February 23rd just after midnight after a report of a vehicle stuck in the snow in the 1500 block of Clark Street.
Bailey was taken to the Floyd County Jail and later released.
Bailey was arrested by the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Department in March of 2013 for operating while intoxicated. He received a deferred judgement after pleading guilty. He also plead guilty to unlawful possession of prescription drugs (a second charge was thrown out.) Bailey was ordered to pay $3,964.04 in court costs and was not fined. He received a year’s probation and the chance at a deferred judgement should he complete the year with no new infractions.
