WASHINGTON — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at Washington Dulles International Airport seized marijuana from a German citizen last week.
The traveler arrived on a flight from Frankfurt, Germany, and was referred for a secondary inspection. During a search of her luggage CBP officers discovered cigarette rolling papers, filters, and several lighters. Upon further inspection the officers found 22 grams of marijuana hidden in a popular chocolate hazelnut spread jar.
“This marijuana seizure further illustrates Customs and Border Protection’s continued vigilance to detect and to intercept illicit narcotics at our nation’s borders no matter the amount,” said Christopher Hess, CBP Port Director for the Port of Washington Dulles. “We remain hopeful that the threat of detection and possible criminal charges or refusal of admission deters others from attempting to smuggle illicit narcotics through Washington Dulles International Airport.”
CBP issued a $500 Zero Tolerance Penalty for being found with illegal narcotics, refused her admission to the United States, and returned her to Germany the same day. Privacy laws prohibit CBP from releasing her name as she was not criminally charged.
Philosophus as it is stated in every motorcycle manual it is against the law to modify the exhaust. The problem is getting MC PD to enforce the law like they used to. But at that time we didn’t have a mayor that had his nose up Minerts butt.
I don’t know where he gets his information but I have seen and driven quite a few off the assembly line Harleys and I haven’t seen a one that the dealers modified the exhaust to make it louder.
I’m glad we have another soldier for our cause. Spread the word, and look for an online petition to come out asking our STATE legislators (not local) to remedy this problem. It’s obvious local forces are bought and paid for by Minert.

Just think of the amount of fuel and manpower wasted on this operation. Illegal narcotic? How about referring to it for what it is: a botanical plant with medicinal qualities. The first step in freeing yourself from these tyrants is gaining freedom from the propaganda labels they attach to things. Every time you see something labeled with propaganda…take a moment to set the record straight.
“No Josef, they are not dirty rat Jews. They are Germans of Judaic ancestry.” If only more Germans (and Americans) would have started labeling things correctly…the world would be much further along in terms of maturity and community development.
Minimize it all you like, try to justify it til the cows come home, it is still illegal. If you do not like that, move out to the drughead state of Colorado.

But, according to this morning’s DM Register, 59% of Iowans favor legalizing medical marijuana. This is the good part. The not so good part is that there are still many just like you who haven’t moved ahead with their thinking. You are still in the 60s. Read, learn and become better educated. You might be surprised at how much your life will improve. Living in the past is destructive.

LVS, when legalization occurs, you’ll be able to spend all the time you want telling people why they shouldn’t use marijuana; you just won’t be able to put them in jail if they don’t listen to you. That’s the way it should have always been…but will soon be.

I think that’s all he needs is to ride a Harley to change his mind about the noise. The drugs maybe that would solve a whole different set of problems.

I’d love to ride a Harley…and they sound great off the assembly line. I’d be willing to ride a loud one too, only for special permitted occasions as sanctioned by the city…or out in the boonies or on the open highways. I’d even be able to ride a loud one in neighborhoods, because I’d know not to throttle it. But this is a moot issue…because no Harley’s or the keys to start them are anywhere near me…and that’s how I like it!
Yes, I’ve thought about such things. I’m sure there are many Harley Riders who also favor legalization of marijuana. They’re probably scratching their heads wondering what to think about me. Do they love their loud pipes or their ganja more? What if they had to choose? Which would it be? Anyone?….
