Mason City man fails to appear in court and is arrested

MASON CITY – A Mason City man failed to show up for court and is now being held in jail.

Cameron Joe Brunstein, 21, had an arraignment hearing on October 1st for an assault causing bodily injury charge but he did not appear.

The assault offense was allegedly committed on August 8th, 2012 and Mason City police innitiated charges on August 13th.

In the alleged incident, Mason City police were dispatched to Kum & Go Central at about 6:30 PM on August 8th for an incident involving Brunstein and a 55 year-old male victim.

At the October 1st arraignment hearing, Judge Gerald Magee issued a warrant for Brunstein and he was picked up on Friday by Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s deputies and booked into the county jail at 9:51 AM.

Brunstein is being held on $1,000 cash-only bond.

Sounds like a real ttough guy. We will see just how tough when he is in jail.

About 2 wks ago this dude was fighting with someone, I think it was his mom and it sounded like he was killing her. I wish they would move because I’m tired of being kept awake when I work mornings.
