NOTICE TO PUBLIC: Escaped Iowa convict

The following offender has escaped from a residential work release facility.  The offender was transferred to this facility after being granted a work release by the Iowa Board of Parole.  Work Release is a minimum security setting which allows offenders an opportunity to gradually adjust to the transition between prison and the community.

NAME: Nikolas Saul

AGE: 22

SEX: Male

FACILITY: Sioux City Residential Correctional Center

OFFENSES: ASSAULT WHILE PARTICIPATING IN A FELONY; GOING ARMED W/INTENT; INTIMIDATION WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON

SENTENCE: Maximum term not to exceed 15 Years

COUNTY OF COMMITTMENT: Woodbury

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

RACE: Black

HAIR: Black

EYES: Brown

HEIGHT: 5’10”

WEIGHT: 220 lbs.

PHYSICAL IDENTIFIERS: Tattoos include “Night Mare” on right lower arm and star on left hand.

DATE OF ESCAPE: October 6, 2012

COMMENTS: Saul was placed on escape status at 11:00 pm.  He escaped from the north wing of the facility. Saul was admitted to work release on September 18, 2012.  This sentence began on September 18, 2008. Information as to Saul’s whereabouts should be reported to the Sioux City Police Department or Woodbury County Sheriff’s Department.
