MASON CITY – Shortly before 2 AM Wednesday morning Mason City police were dispatched to 610 11th Street NE on a report of an attempted theft from a residence.
During the investigation officers encountered 27-year-old Jonathan Ray Wheeler of Mason City. Wheeler was arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to appear to an arraignment on Monday for charges stemming from an incident on September 24th in which took place in the 1400 block of North Madison Ave. in Mason City after which he was arrested and charged with one class D felony count of possession of marijuana 3rd or subsequent offense, one serious misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana, and one serious misdemeanor count of going armed with a 5” to 8” knife.
No arrests have been made at this time in connection with the original attempted theft report police were dispatched for; Wheeler was not charged in that incident.
Wheeler remains in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on a $5,000 cash only bond pending further court proceedings.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
I’m so sorry to say I’m still legally married to this joker. This guy left me in a homeless shelter, took the food stamps we were receiving and gave them to another woman (while I was pregnant), and never paid child support once the baby was gone. Don’t worry; I’m filing for divorce right now (which is why I saw this story in the first place; I’m looking for his address).
What is it with these slime-balls? The police pick them up and the judges let them go?
What does it take to get these people off the streets. I am sick of the guys in and out of jail on a weekly bases!!!
