At 3:30 p.m. on December 11, 2012 the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to 911 calls of an active shooter at the Clackamas Town Center, 12000 SE 82nd Avenue, Happy Valley, Oregon, 97086. Initial reports stated a suspect armed with a firearm was shooting inside the mall.
CCSO responded quickly to the scene. Assisted by local city, state, and federal law enforcement, police entered the mall in search of the suspect. The suspect has been neutralized and there is no active shooting occurring at this time.
The mall will remain closed as law enforcement carefully search the mall, treat any injured persons, and begin the criminal investigation. We can confirm there are multiple injured persons and more than one dead.
