A West Branch man pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to possessing more than 8,000 images and 275 videos of child pornography.
Timothy Wilker, 48, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography and faces up to 10 years in prison, a fine up to $250,000 and victim restitution. His sentencing hasn’t been set at this time.
Wilker admitted to possessing thousands of depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct between January 2004 and May 2, 2009 on his two computer hard drives. He also admitted to knowing the images were of minors.
According to the plea agreement, a majority of the depictions were of prepubescent children and many of them involved adult males sexually abusing children.
