If you can see well enough to qualify for a drivers license, then it should be easy for you to see the link between the following candidates. This is not some thread that ties them together, its more like a rope.
In no particular order it goes like this; John Lee’s wife works for Marinos, Lee was or still is on the committee to elect Kuhn, Tim Latham was appointed by Bookmeyer to be on the committee to study the proposed new Multi-purposed Center and is an avowed Bookmeyer man in waiting, he is in favor of building that Taj Mahal. Jean Marinos was part of the cradre that introduced Bookmeyer and urged him to infect our city government. Alex Kuhn was urged to run against Weaver by Bookmeyer and is touted as the darling of all tennis players with private tennis courts, and of course there is nothing wrong with that. There is a unmistakable commonality here that points in one direction, and that is the mayor’s office.
The svengali in all of this is the mayor. I read where it said if you set out for revenge, dig two graves first. His feeble attempt at revenge for failing to close down our HRC to satisfy his friend who was axed at I.C. Systems has stuck in his craw. His dislike of Weaver has further caused him to make foolish moves. Some people are not cut out for elected office, and I think he is one of them.
