ALLISON, IOWA — Frances Marie Fank, 94, of Allison, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, leaving behind the memories of a long life shaped by family, marriage and deep roots in northern Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 31, at Trinity Reformed Church, 614 Cherry Street in Allison. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Allison Cemetery.

Frances was born September 23, 1931, the daughter of Treano and Marie (Timmer) Rieman.

She married Bernie L. Fank on October 29, 1952, at the Congregational Church in Parkersburg. Their marriage became one of the defining chapters of Frances’ life, lasting more than 65 years before Bernie passed away in 2018.

Together, Frances and Bernie shared the everyday rhythms of life across decades of enormous change, building a life that stretched from the early 1950s well into the 21st century. Through those years, Frances remained connected to the people and places that mattered most to her.

For family and friends, Frances will be remembered not simply for the remarkable length of her life, but for the many years of memories contained within it — holidays, family gatherings, conversations, milestones and the countless ordinary moments that become treasured with time.

Her 94 years represented nearly a century of family history, and her passing closes a meaningful chapter for those who knew and loved her.
