$1500 REWARD for the return of Hanah, an American Bulldog, missing since the Joplin Tornado

(In an attempt to help spread the word about the missing dog, Hanah, NorthIowaToday.com published this story.)

Desperately Seeking Hanah. On May 22, Kari Wilkes was home alone when news of the tornado forced Kari and beloved pets to take cover in a closet. The strength of the wind sucked Hanah, one of Kari’s two dogs, right out of Kari’s arms.

The family lost their home and their possessions, but those could be replaced. Thoughts of a tragic ending coming to Hanah crossed the mind of Kari. Hopes were raised when Hanah was spotted just one street down from where the family lived. A few days later a photo text message was sent to Kari of a dog that appeared to be Hanah. The dog was spotted less than one mile from where their house once stood, but had disappeared before she could be caught.

Hanah is a large, all white, five year old, 110 pound, American Bulldog, with one blue eye and one hazel eye.

The benefits of social media, especially Facebook continues to spread the news. (Hanah has her own page, Bring Hanah Home.)
Hanah may have been rescued by another group from another state who arrived in Joplin to help. Unfortunately, there are no records which Humane organizations where there. Has Hanah been picked up by another group? Is she waiting for her family to rescue her?
Hanah’s unusual eyes will set her apart from other white American Bulldogs. If anyone spots or finds a spayed, white Bulldog with one blue eye and one hazel eye, the chances of it being Hanah are excellent. Please join in with the 6,669 (now 7216) facebook “likes” and spread these photographs of Hanah and her description.

Kari Wilkes can be reached at 417-529-8088.
Let’s bring Hanah home, where she belongs and where she is loved.
