From Rep. Sharon Steckman
This past session the Iowa legislature passed a bill that would allow the hunting of mourning doves. Iowa’s Natural Resources Commission has scheduled a public hearing on May 24th at 1pm in the Wallace State Office Building in Des Moines to discuss rules for the dove hunting season.
Although it may be short notice to attend the meeting you can still voice your opinion on dove hunting using only non-toxic lead free shot.
