FOREST CITY — Eleaner Jean Sheldahl, 81, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Manly Specialty Care.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, at Schott Funeral Chapel, 505 North Clark Street in Forest City.
A private family committal service will be conducted by Pastor Zech Anderson of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Eleaner’s cremains will be laid to rest at Oakland Cemetery in Forest City.
Eleaner was born November 8, 1944. Her family and those who knew her will come together to remember the life she shared with them and the memories she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Eleaner Sheldahl Memorial Fund.
