MASON CITY — Jamison “Jamo” Diekhuis, 31, of Mason City, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026.
Jamo was born in 1994 and grew up in Mason City, where he built lasting friendships and became known for his outgoing personality and adventurous spirit.
According to his obituary, Jamo loved spending time outdoors and embraced opportunities to travel, explore new places and create memories with family and friends. Whether enjoying time on the water, taking road trips or simply gathering with loved ones, he valued experiences that brought people together.
His obituary reflects a man who was known for his quick smile, sense of humor and willingness to help others. Friends and family remembered him as someone who enjoyed making people laugh and who treasured the relationships he built throughout his life.
Family remained the center of Jamo’s world. He took great pride in those closest to him and leaves behind many relatives and friends who will remember his kindness, loyalty and the joy he brought into their lives.
He is survived by members of his family, many close friends and others whose lives were touched by his friendship and generosity.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2026, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third Street NE in Mason City.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2026, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.
The family has suggested memorial contributions in Jamo’s memory.
