RURAL MASON CITY – This hard-luck trio allegedly burglarized a rural location, then tried to outrun cops in their Chevy Silverado, only to crash in a ditch, then land in jail. Meanwhile, a fourth culprit successfully fled the scene and remains at-large, as the jailbirds apparently won’t rat them out quite yet.
On June 7, 2025, at 5:57 PM, Cerro Gordo County Deputies were responding to a burglary in progress in the 20000 block of 220th Street. As deputies were approaching the address, the suspect vehicle, a white 2013 Chevrolet Silverado K150 pickup truck fled the scene. Deputies located the vehicle traveling eastbound on 220th Street. A pursuit was initiated on the vehicle, reaching speeds above 90 MPH. The vehicle continued to evade law enforcement but was unable to maintain control around a turn at 250th Street. and Spruce Avenue. The vehicle entered the west side ditch and rolled onto its top.
The driver, Jamie Lee Paulsen, 39, and two other occupants, Brooklynn Autumn O’Dell, 29, and Justice Michael Jefferey Pritchard, 29, all from Mason City, were treated on scene by EMS.
All occupants of the vehicle were charged with felony second-degree burglary and felony second-degree theft and transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail, where they are still incarcerated. A fourth suspect who fled the scene of the crash was unable to be located. Anyone with information involving this case is encouraged to contact the Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Office.
Deputies on scene were assisted by Iowa State Patrol K9, Mason City Police Department, and Mason City Fire.
This case remains under investigation.
