Douglas Dean Eisenmann was born April 11, 1953, in Buffalo Center, Iowa. Doug was the first of five children born to Dean and Clara (Rike) Eisenmann and grew up on the family farm outside of Woden, Iowa.

After graduating from Woden Crystal Lake Community Schools in 1971, he continued his education, first at Waldorf and finishing a bachelor’s degree from Wartburg College, all while working full time with Winnebago Industries. Doug dedicated his career to Winnebago Industries working in Stitchcraft for 49 1/2 years before retiring on October 26, 2020. At the time of his retirement, Doug took pride in that he was #6 in seniority at Winnebago.

On December 31st, 1984, Doug married Diane Hagan. He and Diane built a life residing in Forest City, IA. Here, together, they raised four children, Dan, Jennifer, Curtis and Megan. Doug was very proud of the adults those children grew up to be and the families that they are raising. In October of 2024 Doug and Diane moved to Clear Lake, where they were able to enjoy the views of the lake from their condo.

Doug was an avid Harley rider; this was his true passion in life. He learned how to ride motorcycles from his father at the age of 3 and bought his first motorcycle at age 19. He had many adventures riding with his wife, Diane, brother David, sons Dan and Curtis, and son-in-law Tim, along with many friends throughout the years. He rode to Sturgis more than 25 times over the years and truly enjoyed being out on the open road.

Doug was an avid fan of the Iowa State Cyclones. His son Dan, his brother David and sister-in-law Vallery held season tickets for the football games and enjoyed tailgating together for many years.

Doug thoroughly enjoyed having a permanent spot and camping at 3 Fingers Campground in Forest City, IA with his wife Diane. He enjoyed sitting around the campfire and spending time with his friends. This allowed him to enjoy his hobby of gardening as well.

Doug was a man of few words. His children and grandchildren were a source of great pride and joy. Spending time with them lit up his world. His quiet strength, kindness, dedication to his family, and fun-loving humor will be missed and remembered by all.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Diane, of 40 years and children Jenn (Tim) Barczak of Osage IA, Curtis (Micheala) Eisenmann of Osage IA and Megan (Alex) Rogers of Ames, IA, his sisters Carol Eisenmann of Ankeny IA, Julie Ward of Fertile IA and his brother David (Vallery) of Slater IA. Along with his grandchildren, Blaine, Asher, Zoey, Miles, Cora, Liam and baby Rogers due in October. He loved being their grandpa and watching them grow.

He is preceded in death by his father Dean Eisenmann, Mother Clara (Rike) Eisenmann, father-in-law, Raymond Hagan, mother-in-law Martha Hagan, sister Lori Twait, and son, Daniel Eisenmann.
