Sharon Kay Kloberdanz, 87, of Mason City died Sunday, September 15, 2024 at the IOOF Home in Mason City.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am Monday, September 30, 2024 at Epiphany Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302 5th St SE, Mason City with Rev. Ben Valentine, Celebrant. Inurnment will follow in Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City.

Sharon was born on February 26, 1937 the daughter of Clarence and Jennie Olson. She grew up in Kiester, Minnesota and graduated from their local high school. Sharon went on to attend Saint Joseph Mercy School of Nursing.

On February 11, 1961 Sharon was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Kloberdanz at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Together they were blessed with three children, Steven, Jennie and Jane.

Sharon worked at the Park Hospital in Mason City as a Registered Nurse until she went on to raise her family. After raising her family Sharon went on to work at the North Iowa Eye Clinic retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church Circle. In her free time she liked reading, classic movies and her soap operas. She was a talented cook and baker. After retiring Sharon and Dick traveled throughout the United States with family and friends. The couple wintered in Sun City, Arizona for a period of time. Sharon and Dick were avid fans of the Iowa Hawkeye Football and Basketball.

Family was most important to Sharon, she loved attending her children’s and later grandchildren’s sporting events, dance recitals, and band concerts.

Those left to cherish memories of Sharon are her children, Steven (Jennifer) Kloberdanz, Jennie (John) Pint, and Jane (David) Bergan; grandchildren, Shannon (Tyler Fritsch) and Trevor Kloberdanz, John Pint and Carolyn (Nic) Peiffer, and Hannah (Josh) Mixdorf, Aaron, and Madeline Bergan; two great grandchildren, Kayden and Noah; sister, Judy Jensen; brother, James (Pam) Olson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her parents, as well as her grandparents.
