A funeral Mass for Beverly J. Cink, 80, of Algona, will be held Monday, February 19, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at Divine Mercy Parish ~ St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona. The funeral Mass will be live streamed on Divine Mercy YouTube page. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Algona. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 PM Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Algona. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Kossuth County Animal Rescue, in memory of Bev.
Beverly Jean Cink was born February 26, 1943, in Algona, the daughter of Clifford and Lorene (Stoll) Johnson. Bev grew up in Algona graduating from Algona High School in 1961.
Bev was united in marriage on April 22, 1967, to Robert J. Cink at St. Cecelia Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Algona. Bev worked for the Knights of Columbus Columbia Hall for 20 years catering many events. She loved welcoming family and friends into her home, cooking and baking for them and enjoying their company. She also enjoyed embroidery work and boating in earlier days.
Beverly J. Cink died Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the Algona Manor Care Center. She was 80.
She is survived by her two children, Jeff (Jacki) Cink of Byron, MN and Julie (Joe) Bollig of Algona; six grandchildren, Lauren (Dan) O’Donnell, Claire (Logan) Busho, Meridith (Adam) Arndorfer, Seth Heinold, Maleri (Clinton) Schilling, and Madison (Johnny) Kettering; and five great grandchildren, June, Mack, Wren, Scarlett, and Margaret. She is also survived by two sisters, Maxine Haas of Algona and Karen (J.W.) Gardner of Irvington; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death her parents; her husband Bob on December 13, 2022; and two brothers, Larry and Merlin Johnson.
