AMES – An amred suspect robbed a bank in Ames Tuesday morning, police say.
On September 21, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., the Ames Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the River Valley Credit Union, 2811 E. 13th Street. According to bank employees, the suspect entered the bank wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants, sunglasses, and a black face mask. The suspected displayed a handgun and demanded money from a bank employee. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
Witnesses described the suspect as a black male adult. The suspect was last seen getting into a black minivan in the parking lot of the bank.
The Ames Police Department continues to investigate this incident.
Back in May, a man robbed an Ames bank and was soon caught.
