OBIT: Jason Alan Steenblock

Jason Alan Steenblock, 49, of Grafton, died Friday, July 16, 2021, at his home surrounded by family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jason was born August 14, 1971, the son of Leo Arthur and Loraine Joan (Stacey) Steenblock at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He grew up and attended school in Grafton, Mason City, St. Ansgar and Lake Mills.

Jason worked in carpentry most of his career. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan who enjoyed golfing, music and helping anyone and everyone. More than anything, he loved his two sons and cherished all the time he spent with them, his family, friends and dog.

Jason is survived by his grandmother, Marietta Stacey; mother, Loraine (Steve) Kalvig; step-mother, JoAnn Steenblock; sons, Trever and Jordan Steenblock; siblings, Kim (Shawn) Gerdom, Stacie (Brian) Sliger, Jessica Kalvig, Rebekah (Cody) Deetz, Amber Moen and Mickie (Andy) Hamilton; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his dog, King.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Steenblock; grandfather, Cecil Stacey; aunts and uncles; and dog, Em.
