Former Osage school board member accused of felony theft says she’s not guilty

OSAGE, IOWA – An Osage school board member has resigned after being arrested and charged with felony theft – and says she’s not guilty.

Tracey Mooberry, age 46, resigned from the Osage School Board this month at about the same time that the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office charged her with felony second-degree theft. Allegedly, the theft involved checks that were written while she was employed at the county treasurer’s office. She no longer works there. Court records show the crime took place back in December of 2014 when she worked for the county.

Moo berry has entered a not guilty plea. Expanded media coverage of this case has been granted by a judge and no trial date has been set, yet.
