MASON CITY – A former Chicago-area woman now living in Mason City was jailed by police this morning after the latest in a series of disturbances she has been involved in.
Mason City police were dispatched to 702 North Delaware to take a criminal mischief report Sunday morning around 4:14 AM. Officers had been to the same location at around 3:28 AM for a disturbance. As a result of the investigation, officers arrested Tameka Renee Leggette, age 26, on a charge of public intoxication. Leggette claims to formerly be of Harvey, Illinois.
Mason City police responded to at least two disorderly disturbances February 22 before 10 PM at 246 8th Street SE. Reportedly, a woman was yelling and screaming outside of the residence. Police officers arrived and as a result, they arrested Leggette, who lives there. She was taken to jail on a charge of disorderly conduct and later found guilty. She was ordered to pay $127.50 in fines and court fees, but so far hasn’t paid anything.
In March, Leggette was arrested once again by MCPD, this time for public intoxication and fourth degree criminal mischief. She pleaded not guilty and is awaiting a June 28 jury trial.
We need to call some folks that can get rid of this trash, time for them to do. Oh I bet some body loves Hillary and this illegal we have got in the White House will say you big racist your prejudice. Well to bad. You think what you want, people that has all our marbles know these things they don’t belong in Mason. They just make trouble and make baby’s. Nip it in the bud like they say. Run them out of here maybe down to Waterloo they will fit in down there. If they come back, there must be somebody that will take out this trash. It don’t matter to me what they do, just get rid of them.
