Law enforcement searches for Iowa bank robber

NEOLA, IOWA – A bank was robbed Wednesday in this small Iowa town and a suspect remains at large.

Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jefferey Danker said that on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at approximately 1:03 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Farmers-Merchants State Bank in Neola, Iowa for a robbery.

Four minutes later, he says, deputies were in the area. A robbery suspect left the bank with an undetermined amount of money. The suspect is believed to be a white male, 6’00 – 180 lbs. A vehicle of interest is believed to be a red 1995 – 2005 Ford Explorer or Mercury Mountaineer. Surveillance of a person and vehicle of interest has been obtained from the area.
