HAMILTON COUNTY – An exasperated Iowa State Patrolman proclaimed “This type of behavior is inexcusable!” after he nabbed a driver rocketing through Northern Iowa at 114 mph, toting an illegal substance and a person wanted on warrants.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a traffic stop was conducted by their patrolman recently in Hamilton county, triggered by a very high rate of speed. After the lawman put a stop to the nefarious behavior, he then stated in a social media post on Sunday just outside a jail (along with the photo, at top), “this driver, who apparently thought they could match the speed of a cheetah on caffeine, was proven WRONG by Trooper Lively. The passenger had 3 active warrants out of Minnesota and now has additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. All jokes aside, this type of behavior is inexcusable!”
So far in 2024, 46 people have died in traffic-related accidents on Iowa roads. When in doubt, it is always best to travel at a slower rate of speed.
