ST. ANSGAR, IOWA – For one day only MOM Brands will be holding its annual cereal sale in St. Ansgar. On Saturday, June 21, 2014, MOM Brands will be selling cereal for just $1 per bag, cash only. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit United Way of North Central Iowa’s 2014 campaign.

Beginning at 10 a.m., MOM Brands semi-trailer will be parked on 4th Street, between the St. Ansgar Post Office and 4th Street Coffee. The sale will end when the cereal is gone.

MOM Brands cereal sale raised nearly $7,000 last year achieving last year’s goal. The 2014 goal is to increase that total and help United Way invest even more in North Central Iowa, including Mitchell County.

“We look forward each year to partnering with MOM Brands for the cereal sale,” said Jennifer Kammeyer, Chief Professional Officer, UWNCI. “We will invest these funds in education, income and health services in the North Central Iowa community. Everyone can show support by purchasing MOM Brands cereal on Saturday, June 21st.”

If you’re interested in helping during the cereal sale, UWNCI is currently recruiting volunteers. Volunteers may contact Loni Dirksen via email, cm@unitedwaynci.org or by phone, 641-423-1774 to sign up.

The MOM Brands Company is proud to be your neighbor in Mitchell County. They are the nation’s largest family-owned cereal company, and since 1919 they’ve been in the business of feeding families and of giving back to the communities where they live.
