Alliant Energy to break ground on new Mason City operations center

MASON CITY – Alliant Energy will break ground on a new 67,000 square foot operations center in Mason City. The construction of a new operations center recognizes another economic development success for Mason City and opens a new chapter in Alliant Energy’s commitment to the North Iowa region.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM. The event will be hosted by Chad Schreck, President and CEO of North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corporation. Speakers will include: Eric Bookmeyer, Mayor of Mason City; and Doug Kopp, President of Alliant Energy’s Iowa utility

The location of the new operations center will be 1035 43rd St. SW.

Holy smoke Bat man our rates are going to rise again. Hopefully they turn their office uptown into a whore house to offset some of the expense and also bring in some revenue.
