MASON CITY – A Mason City man accused drug crimes and two counts of child endangerment failed to appear in court and was arrested on a warrant.
Tylan James Debeir, age 24, was to be arraigned Wednesday morning in court on drug possession charges but failed to appear. He had been caught by Mason City police after an incident on January 27, 2015. Later that Wednesday, the arrest warrant was served and Debeir was taken to jail. He is being held on $2,000 bond at this time as he awaits a hearing.
Debeir, who claims via social media to work at a pot farm, has had a number of drug charges brought against him and later dismissed. The Iowa State Patrol caught him with marijuana in 2012. The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department charged him with possession with intent to deliver marijuana in 2011. Both charges were dismissed.
However, at this time, Debeir is facing two felony charges of child endangerment causing serious injury. He is scheduled to go on trial in Floyd county on April 13, 2015.
