FORT DODGE – Multiple possible suspects are being sought by Fort Dodge police after a violent home invasion.
Fort Dodge police reported that at approximately 10:50 AM on February 10th, 2015, officers with the Fort Dodge Police Department responded to the address of 404.5 North 9th Street in reference to a burglary that had allegedly happened the night before. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a 23-year-old resident, Amber Rosendahl of Fort Dodge. Miss Rosendahl stated that the night before, at approximately 11:00 PM, her apartment was broken into while she was inside. She reported that multiple intruders entered her residence and she was assaulted during the occurrence. Miss Rosendahl stated that she was seen that night by Unity Point medical staff for non-life-threatening injuries and she was later released from their care. Miss Rosendahl elected not to make contact with law enforcement at that time.
Once the incident was reported to FDPD, officers and detectives responded to her residence and processed it as a crime scene as well as conducting multiple interviews. Despite having a sizable time delay, an investigation is underway and law enforcement is requesting help from the community in order to identify and apprehend any and all perpetrators that are involved with this incident.
