AMES – If you are in the Ames, Iowa area on February 24, be on your best behavior.
The Ames Police Department will be stepping up traffic enforcement on February 24th, 2015 along with the Iowa State University Police Department. Officers will be looking for drivers who are operating under the influence and exceeding the speed limit. They will also be watching for drivers and passengers who are not wearing their seat belts. The targeted traffic enforcement project will be focused on the Lincoln Way and Duff Avenue corridors.
The Ames Police Department conducts traffic enforcement projects using grant money provided by the Iowa Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
