CORALVILLE, IA – An investigation is underway in Coralville after two persons were found dead in a hotel room there.
At about 6:38 PM Tuesday evening, Coralville police were summoned to the Suburban Inn by hotel staff who had just discovered the deceased bodies of two individuals in one of the rooms. Officers arrived and verified that the individuals were deceased and secured the premises.
Police have not yet identified the two deceased persons. The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has been requested to assist in the investigation. It has not yet been determined if foul play has been involved. Law enforcement says autopsies of the deceased will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Coralville Police Chief Barry Bedford said “We do not believe that members of the community are in any danger as a result of this incident.” More details will be announced when they are made available as the investigation continues.
