MASON CITY – Police discovered an unruly patron at a Mason City bar early Sunday morning and took her to jail.

As Mason City police conducted a walk-through at Tailgaters Bar, 627 South Federal, an officer was alerted that a female patron was was behaving badly and bothering another person. The officer concluded that 28-year-old Sarah Jean Cook of Newton had made unwanted contact with another person, and that employees in the bar wanted her out. Cook was arrested and charged with simple assault and public intoxication.

Cook was jailed and released later Sunday after pleading not guilty. She will face a December 30 trial.
