CHARLES CITY – Police arrested a Charles City man this past weekend on a charge of second offense drunk driving.
On October 19 at about 2:05 AM, a Charles City police officer conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Kelly Street. After an investigation, the officer determined that the driver, 29-year-old Jonathan Schilling, was intoxicated, and he was placed under arrest. Schilling was charged with second offense operating while intoxicated, failure to obey a traffic control device and failure to show insurance. He was taken to jail and soon released.
Schilling awaits a preliminary hearing on November 7.
