WEST UNION – A law enforcement officer stopped an Iowa woman who was driving on the wrong side of the road, allegedly intoxicated, and took her to jail.
On October 15 at approximately 4:04 AM a Fayette County Deputy stopped a gray 2008 Nissan Altima for traveling on the wrong side of a two-lane highway. Upon investigation, it was determined the driver, 21-year-old Madison Leah Vagts of West Union, was intoxicated. Vagts was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail where she was held on charges of OWI 2nd Offense and Driving on the wrong side of a two-lane highway.
Vagts awaits a November 4 hearing.
