MASON CITY – A Northwood woman accused at least ten times by Mason City police of stealing is serving a seven day jail sentence for theft.
Jessica Ellen Sturm, age 30 of Northwood was transported from Worth county to the Cerro Gordo County Jail to serve her seven day sentence after a guilty plea in April to theft in the third degree she will be released September 16 due to time served. She was also assessed $4,529.48 in costs and fines.
Sturm has been charged numerous times by Mason City police for theft. She is facing a new charge of theft in the third degree by Mason City police after an incident on August 22. She’ll be arraigned on September 15.
In addition, Sturm is facing two felony drug charges at this time in Worth county. There’s a hearing also set for September 15 in that case.
