Woman who escaped Beje caught months later

MASON CITY – A Northwood woman accused of a swath of crimes who escaped Beje Clark just days after being placed there was finally caught after being on the run for months.

Marisa Walderon, age 19, was placed in Beje Clark halfway house in Mason City on December 4, 2013. On December 12, Mason City police officers took an absence from custody report when she failed to return after leaving for work. Officers applied for an arrest warrant, which was granted, and she had been wanted ever since.

Walderon was finally arrested in Worth county on a warrant there for felony third degree burglary. She was handed over to Cerro Gordo deputies Friday and jailed in Mason City to await bed space in Beje Clark and new court dates for charges of escape from custody, drug possession (meth), possessing contraband and furnishing intoxicants to inmates in a jail (meth), going armed with intent and forgery.

She had a chance to get better and threw it away. Now she can look forward to a full life of crime.

LVS-It says she is in the Cerro Gordo jail awaiting bed space at Beje Clark. My question is why would they put her back in Beje Clark to await trail when she just walk away from BeJe Clark the last time she was there?? What makes them think she will not just walk away again? Does not make sense to me.

@IowaViking-I agree. It makes no sense but they do it over and over.
