SHEFFIELD – A Sheffield woman died after being pinned under her Buick LaCrosse Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. At about 4:15 PM on Highway 65 on the northern edge of Sheffield, it appears that 66-year-old Pamela Harvey of Sheffield was outside her vehicle, a 2006 Buick LaCrosse, when the vehicle rolled backwards and pinned her underneath it. As a result of the incident, Harvey died.
Assisting the Iowa State Patrol were Sheffield police, fire and EMS, Franklin county sheriff, Mason City fire and EMS, and Woodley Funeral Home.
