Charles City man arrested after trouble on North Monroe

MASON CITY – Police searched for a man who was involved in a disturbance late Thursday night on the city’s North End, finally catching him and placing him under arrest.

Mason City police were called to the 800 block of North Monroe Avenue Thursday just before midnight after a report of a domestic disturbance. As police arrived, a male subject later identified as 37-year-old Eric Charles Prior of Charles City ran from the residence. Police then conducted a search of the neighborhood for Prior; Cerro Gordo deputies joined Mason City officers.

Prior was eventually located and placed under arrest on charges that police only described as “criminal”. He was released from jail on Friday.
