MASON CITY – A Forest City teen battling a meth problem is in the Cerro Gordo jail, after judge earlier went easy on him in a drug possession case.
Brady Robert Levad received a deferred judgement for a meth possession charge earlier this year, but now stands accused of violating his probation. After a warrant was twice issued for his arrest. Winnebago county law enforcement caught up with him this week and sent him to Cerro Gordo county. He is now being held on $2,000 bond as he awaits an October 17, 2014 probation revocation hearing.
Levad is in more trouble. He is facing felony third degree burglary and third degree theft charges in Winnebago county. He earlier pled not guilty, but now, a plea change hearing is set for September 16. At that hearing, he will also be arraigned on a new charge of driving while revoked and change his plea from not guilty on a charge of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
