MASON CITY – A former long-time custodian in the Mason City School District was arrested by police Friday for violating a no-contact order.
Ted Pattschull, age 62, was arrested at his home at 111 South Rhode Island Friday at about 11:24 AM. Officers were called to the residence to conduct a welfare check / stand by and discovered that Pattschull was illegally at the residence. He was arrested and taken to jail for violating the no-contact order, where he remained Saturday until being released sometime before noon.
Court records show that as part of a petition for relief from domestic abuse filed Friday by Pattschull’s wife, a no-contact order was put in place that day, barring him from his home. He was served the temporary protective order Friday at the Cerro Gordo County Law Enforcement Center.
Pattschull retired in 2013 after 21 years working as a custodian for the Mason City School District, last working at Lincoln Intermediate School.
