MASON CITY – A Ventura man with three previous convictions for operating while intoxicated – and now facing a fourth charge – skipped court this week and was later located by police.
Charles David Hinrichs, age 52, got behind the wheel – allegedly drunk – for a fourth time, and was caught by a Cerro Gordo deputy on March 22, 2014. He was charged with driving while revoked and second offense operating while intoxicated.
Hinrichs was due in court on July 2 for a pretrial conference, but failed to appear, and Judge Annette Boehlje issued a warrant for his arrest. Hinrichs had also failed to complete a substance abuse evaluation at Prairie Ridge. Police finally caught Hinirichs on July 5th and took him to the Cerro Gordo County Jail. He is being held on $2,000 cash-only bond.

…not sure I understand what is going on here? This “clown” has 3 “convictions” already and this time he is being charged with “2nd” offense driving while intoxicated…no wonder we can’t keep these guys in jail…our police officers and the courts can’t seem to keep track “of the count”!
Well he’s happy he was at least drunk when they brought him in.
