MASON CITY – Mason city firefighters were called to a North End building for a fire Sunday afternoon.
Around 1:00 PM Sunday, a call was made to authorities about a fire at 300 15th Street NE. Police officers and fire-medics were dispatched to the scene. The fire appeared to be in buildings north of the main structure, owned by FWC Communications, Inc.
The property has been for sale for months. There was no immediate word as to the cause of the fire. More information as it becomes available.
